TRIP TO WALPARI ANDTOPSLIP

After a long day of working in office am back home for packing …making calls and saying bye…and finally am in Chennai central station for a long awaited break(the previous trip was just 3 months back)......and i could spot out swetha and vanmukhil in the lounge counting the minutes...........and we were wondering as it was only 15 min left for the train and the remaining members havent yet reached.....and in the amidst of calling everyone to findout there whereabouts praveen and hamsa turned to the scene......and we found out vanmukhil had missed out one of her luggage....and twinkle, cynthia, ashrafi and partha sir arrived to the station.

We the notorious ….the architects gang were heading to Walparai and topslip….after long long discusiions with our team members, deciding the dates and then finally got the permission from our head…….And he too made a his visit to the station to send off us….
Kayal and lavanya and stella were missing….

With high spirits floating in us we had a rocking start…………it was disturbed when the ticket collector asked for the tickets. Then only we found out that the tickeks were split in each coach in a haphazard manner and too in the side berths….we cursed our travel
co ordinator….Me and Hamsa started our mission in convincing people to exchange the berths……..But we failed………..The things we have planned was a total dismay..

Convincing among ourselves we split and and planned to meet in the same coach in the morning…..thankfully me and hamsa’s berth were next to each other……..and also made other team members to join so that they can kill their time………as their wish…..

Of the lot praveen was missing and we found that he had settled next to telugu family……(a gang of 4 young girls were there…no wonder praveen is spotted there)

I couldn’t sleep properly that night because of the high snores from the lower berth and much to my anticipation hamsa was awake…..and around 5.30 in the morning we headed to the place were we decided to meet.

We arrived in Coimbatore station……….We met Johny and his brother…And we boarded the Van…..The trip commenced finally…….via pollachi to walparai……..

Walparai and Topslip:

We totally lost in counts of the hair pin bends to walparai. Would like to travel by bike next time.The place is amazingly beautiful with their tea plantations and scarcely distributed buildings. The climate is superb. We visited the nalla mudi pooncholai and balaji temple and the tea plantations. On the way back there was a nalla crossing and inspite of severe cold we had our best times there….wow…would like to go again there….had a free Natural spa and pedicure….

At topslip we were given accomadation in the guest house……a superb place to hang out. We went for a trekking on our own. They had taken us to elephant feeding center.we couldn’t get go for the night safari because of the showers….but we had a good view of the bisons and the deers. ( thank god we stopped twinkle’s speech at the right time).

The next adventure is to the parambikulam dam and other dams nearby. It was a guud exercise for us to climb the dam from below earth level to the FGL-sorry formed ground level. Poor lighting and air made us everyone gasp for the air…….it also made us to climb at a faster pace….and the next visit was to azhiyar….and then was ISHA temple. We wanted to visit this purely for it architectural and its scenic location.But we ended up in other aspects.

Vanmukhil:

Dunno ………….without a signal in topslip…..wondering how could she send messages(hmm will soon find the person to whom she was sending messages)At topslip we could always spot her walkin in the early mornings behind a cop,,,followed by her followers..ofcourse the monkeys..looks like they were on a parade……..

Twinkle:
Twinkle…we christened her as BULLU in topslip…. We couldn’t stop her from her nonstop…I meant non stop talking…………always had to pull praveen and johny..
And no one can ever forget about Mark –twinkle’s Mark antony in their life…..

I have a doubt can anyone tell wat was it about? He he he

Hamsa and Ashrafi:

Hamsa and ash seemed to be in a good company….ash was often lost in her own world. If only riaz uncle was there…..ash ……u can fill up the remaining sentences..
I could never forget the talks and laughs we had in topslip in the guest house verandah..

Swetha and Cynthia:

Swetha as left was a natural admirer….we have to often drag her from her dream world. Often johny would love to do it……we could often see them together shooting deers and elephants in their digicam on early mornings…I think that would have been the right time for them!Cynthia was asusual enjoying at her own pace. praveen gave his best..hats off praveen......


Finally we could never forget the food preparation in both the places…wow fantastic….fantastic trip………….


now we are planning for the next trip….

Design and development Scenario

Hah......this was an unusual day.....surprisingly my clientile had their limited calls.......no site visits.......no material selection......no meetings......wow.............this is the time...My time...to observe analyze and critize..
There are so many areas in the aspect of designing and executing. and being a designer, i was wondering whether critizing on the genaral aspects would be that apt.....
The list of things that need our attention in the society may be exhaustive but with the right set of ideas and goals that can be acheived.
A lot of infrasructure development has been happening in the recent past. Welcome to the Globalisation and the cash flow in the market, which had made the people to rethink on the comfortablity or the basic standards of living for one set of people ,and the other segment opts for the aesthetic value.

The realty market is no more conservative.A buoyant economy and improved lifestyle are instrumental in driving the demand for new development. Land prices are soaring up in city and suburban areas. So there is a high chance of conversion of agricultural lands into commercial and Residential area, where in case its a high threat in the near future.

The demand and absorption for residential and commercial is on high end level,unlike the present systemn doesnt seem to support it.Growth of cities has been very rapid and decentralisation or demarcation of spaces would be highly benefitable.Demarcation of SEZ-Special Economic zones has created waves. But there is a major lack of services.

Proper Planning and Execution with a futuristic thinking would definetely clear all these issues.There is no dearth of challenging situation on a small or large scales. we have to seriously delibrate on still what we need for the present and the future.
